On March 4th-5th 2019, UBS Indonesia Conference 2019 was held to connect corporate leaders with global investor community, influential policy makers, and industry experts. The conference was held at Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta. ANGIN member Sheila had an opportunity to attend the event as regular attendee.

UBS Indonesia Conference 2019 partnered with Digitaraya Powered by Google Developers Launchpad for Digitaraya AI Demo Day, in which there were five startups showcasing their pitch in the session during Day 2 of the event. Those five startups were Volantis Technology, BahasaKita, HaloSis, Konvergen.AI, and, Nodeflux.

This conference presented some of the most distinguished speakers coming from government, corporates, and financial institutions in Indonesia, such as Rudiantara (Minister of ICT), Mirza Adityaswara (Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia), Joshua Tanja (Head of UBS Indonesia), Edmund Koh (President of APAC and Member of the Executive Board of UBS), Julian Smith (Partner in PwC Indonesia), Mohit Pande (Senior VP of Linear Squared), and Thomas Lembong (Chairman of Indonesia’s Investment Coordinating Board).

Other than having distinguished speakers, the UBS Indonesia Conference had several panel sessions with different themes such as infrastructure, consumer sector, and Internet & Technology. The panel sessions invited several emerging figures in businesses such as Senior VP of Corporate Strategic Development of PT Angkasa Pura II Gautsil Madani, CEO of Kalbe Farma Vidjongtius, Co-founder of Digiasia Bios Alexander Rusli, and CEO of Kata.AI Irzan Raditya.
