Unveiling the Vanguard: DoctorTool, Hear Me, and Parakerja Chosen as the Cohorts of JICA NINJA Accelerator Program 2023!

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), in collaboration with ANGIN, launches the 2023 Next Innovation with Japan (NINJA) Accelerator Program, aiming to amplify entrepreneurship. The program paves the way for startups to expand and build partnerships in Indonesia and Japan. DoctorTool, Hear Me, and Parakerja emerge as the 3 selected startups in revolutionizing health and championing disability!

Jakarta, Indonesia — Continuing its unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and impactful entrepreneurship, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has once again joined hands with ANGIN for the second consecutive year to launch the Next Innovation with Japan (NINJA) Accelerator Program for 2023.

The NINJA (Next Innovation with Japan) Accelerator Program represents a golden opportunity for entrepreneurs to augment their business ventures and extend their impact horizon. This comprehensive initiative is meticulously designed to facilitate business expansion, foster partnerships in Japan, secure crucial financial backing, and forge essential networks. The program will facilitate access to a curated group of investors through a compelling in-person Demo Day hosted in both Japan and Jakarta, fostering meaningful connections and collaborations between startups and investors.

In an extensive evaluation process spanning three weeks, a comprehensive review involved an impressive array of 255 startups. Following this rigorous screening, the selected 10 startups earned the chance to participate in the pitching sessions. These vibrant sessions, brimming with enthusiasm and innovation, took place offline on 7th of December 2023 at the ERIA (Energy Research Institutes Network) office. This marked a significant milestone for these promising ventures as they showcased their groundbreaking ideas and entrepreneurial spirit.

Conducting this pitching session as the final selection phase, the JICA NINJA Accelerator Program proudly presents its stellar trio for 2023 – DoctorTool, Hear Me, and Parakerja! These dynamic innovators have successfully navigated the selection process, and now, they’re ready to redefine the landscape of health, communication, and social impact.

As we embark on this transformative journey alongside these exceptional startups, we are thrilled to witness their acceleration and seamless assimilation into the dynamic ecosystem. Their experience will begin with tailored mentoring sessions set to kick off in January 2024, leading up to the highly anticipated Demo Day in Jakarta and Japan in March 2024. This much-anticipated event will serve as a platform for these visionary startups to captivate and engage with carefully curated local, regional, and Japanese investors, making their impact report alongside ANGIN.

A healthtech startup that provides a cloud-based clinic management system and IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) smart solutions that integrate healthcare providers and patients in one ecosystem. Serving nearly 900 healthcare facilities with rapid expansion across Indonesia, DoctorTool is leading digital transformation for better healthcare quality and accessibility, especially to the underserved markets and National Insurance participants. Breaking communication barriers for 16 million Deaf in Indonesia and 466 million worldwide, Hear Me introduces the first Indonesian Sign Language Translator with 3D animation.
