On November 7th & 8th, ANGIN mentored some cosmetic startups on an event titled “Business Coaching for Cosmetic SMEs” organised by the Ministry of Industry. The event was held as a competition to search for the best cosmetic SMEs, and it also aimed to equip them with the knowledge to scale up their businesses. The event took place in Fave Hotel, Bogor, with 15 selected SMEs from across Indonesia participating.
On the first day, Adirani Heraputeri (Business Development Associate) and Robialmay Naufalmahdy (Investment Analyst) represented ANGIN to coach the startups on some basic fundraising and pitching. The training included a thorough 1:1 session with each of the SMEs, preparing them for the judging panel the next day.
The second day saw an intense judging panel with all 15 participants pitching their businesses back-to-back. Robialmay Naufalmahdy was sitting as a judge, alongside Michelle Alexandra Jap (Makeup Fairy), Tety Sri Nurhayati (Mustika Ratu), and T.M. Zakir Machmud, Ph.D (University Network for Indonesia Export Development).
Three winners were picked based on their business model as well as their product innovation. The winners were all entitled for a prize, as well as a continuous mentorship program.
