[RECAP] Personal Stories, Passion and Craft Blended at WeWorks ‘Tough As Nail’ Event in Celebration of the International Women’s Day

On the 16th March 2019, Katja from ANGIN’s team attended ‘Tough As Nail’ at WeWork, an event organised by WeWork in celebration of the International Women’s day. Personal stories from female founders, inspiring panel sessions, and quality craftsmanship all blended together in the weekend event.

In the ‘Your Guide to Social Entrepreneurship’ session Helga Angelina (Co-Founder/ Chief of Sales and Sustainable Growth) and Sari Lauda (Chief of Operations and Profitability) from Burgreens shared their personal experience on how important it is to build a passionate, open, and strong company culture by investing in your own team and how staying connected to your customers can keep your product relevant.

In the panel session session, Nadine Siregar (Founder of Generation Girl), encouraged the majority female audience that we can’t always plan everything because sometimes opportunities and the right people just come in your life – so be ready and don’t stress about what’s to come.

Event attendees also had a chance to see the passion and personal stories reflected in the Creators’ Market, where they could meet female-led creators and discover their excellent craftsmanship, from jewelry to patterns and clothing and support their causes.
