The Ministry of Industry also invited some of startups in Makassar to present their works in front of experts attended. This session was aimed for them to get feedback from industry experts for their business in order to scale and grow. After the session, talk show was held for the audience to know about how and when to scale their business and the basics of fundraising.

Sarah’s talk emphasized the basic terms and understanding on fundraising processes. While SMEs around Indonesia aren’t yet informed about alternative funding schemes other than bank loans, the talk was considered useful for the participants to start thinking about financing their business. Sarah also introduced Connector.id as one of ANGIN’s platform to find out more about capital providers. Riki Rijadi’s presentation was about when, why, and how to scale small businesses, knowing the signs, and what to do. It was followed by Q&A session.

The roadshow was insightful for ANGIN, from our meeting with local startups and SMEs, the ideas for their business are inspired by the most pressing issues in their region. Therefore, it would be impactful to have this kind of events around the big region of Indonesia.
