On November 4th-6th 2019, the Ministry of Industry held Startup 4 Industry competition to accelerate digitalization of MSMEs in Indonesia at the Ministry of Industry Building, Gatot Subroto. The competition invited key players in tech to help MSMEs in two categories. The first one is Comptech, consisting of innovation in subcategory AI & Big Data and Internet of Things. The second category is Hackindustry, consisting of four subcategories: quality management system, modular control of temperature, time, and humidity for appropriate machinery, designing a tempe fryer, and platform for clothing line.
The judging process was divided into two main processes: the technical side and the business side. ANGIN Investment team, Gema Minang and Robialmay Naufalmahdy, were among the judges in this competition, along with team from Alpha JWC Ventures and Estubizi for the business side. After 3 days of judging process, there were 3 winners for every subcategory. The winners will receive coaching from the Ministry of Industry.
We saw so many potentials from all of the participants. We hope that these innovators will continue to help and accelerate Indonesia’s MSMEs development to be more competitive.
