David Soukhasing spoke at LISP Talks: Investor Talks and Pitching Simulation at Institut Teknologi Bandung

ANGIN’s Managing Director, David Soukhasing spoke at LISP Talks: Investor Talks and Pitching Simulation at Institut Teknologi Bandung on November 29th. David shared the panel with Patrick Yip (Founding Partner at Intudo Ventures), Edward Ismawan Chamdani (Managing Partner at Ideosource Venture Capital), and Ahmad Nurul Fajri (Managing Director at PT. Luxury Cantika Indonesia). The ventures participating in the event were Beautifire, Cerdas Trans, Chatbiz, Kuizo, Manawa, Oniro, People’s Partner, Vanguard, Tannaga, Udaplan, and Asyifa Photography.

Based on discussions at the LIPSPTalks seminar, the three guest speakers agreed that founders are an essential element in determining the success of a start-up. Founders who have an emotional attachment to their business would make external parties, including investors, come to believe in the prospects of the start-up business.

Another takeaway from the discussions is that pitching simulation can provide an opportunity for students who have a business idea to validate and communicate their ideas to investors in the actual setting of the pitching session. Feedback given by investors can encourage students to be more confident and creative in exploring their potential, as well as training them to prepare themselves better in the next pitching.
