ANGIN x Bank Indonesia & Inpex Masela : Tanimbar Tenun Product Development Training with IKAT Indonesia

One of ANGIN’s ongoing programs is our Tanimbar tenun development program, co-partnering with Bank Indonesia and INPEX Masela. As one of the parts of the program, ANGIN has recently held a training program on February 12-13th 2020 in Tanimbar Island, Maluku. This program is a follow up of the previous technical training held on the island, back in November 2019. This time around, we are collaborating with Didiet Maulana, the founder of IKAT Indonesia to introduce Tanimbar tenun’s derivative products and open market access to the Tanimbar weavers, crafters, tailors, local entrepreneurs, youth communities, and local government. 50 Weavers from the northern up to the southern part of the island were involved in this training. We are excited to announce that these Tanimbar tenun will be presented in a solo fashion show by Didiet Maulana at the end of March to spread the marvelous story behind.

The training is led by ANGIN’s Associate Advisor, Gregoria Mandias and attended by Bank Indonesia and INPEX Masela. Along with this program, ANGIN through our advisory arm hopes to expand its impact to nourish local women leaders and business talents in Tanimbar to thrive.
